Sheila Kelley showed up as Mike Myers‘ ex-girlfriend in So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993), but we were the ones whack, whack, whacking it thinking about having the tight bodied, devilishly sexy to the point of crazy-eyed stripping expert as a spouse. After graduating from NYU, Sheila was showing up in movies and TV shows, but getting no respect. She started as a faceless performer in various background roles and as a mid-run replacement on L.A. Law. Even her role as Mike Myers‘s ex-girlfriend in So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993) was merely a photograph in his hand as he recited a poem at some beatnik club. But we’ll give Sheila props for her ample showing of skin. Her skinful debut coincided with her film debut, alongside Patrick Dempsey in Some Girls (1988), which featured her totally nude, but from a dark and disappointing distance. Then there was the 90’s rom-com Singles (1993), where again her naked doubles were obscured by bad camera angles. But when she joined Daryl Hannah in Dancing at the Blue Iguana (2000), not only were all bets off, so were all her clothes! As “Stormy”, Sheila put her impressive rackshish on full display during her dance routine at the titular club. She even did some serious spreading, although her G-string somehow remained firmly in place, keeping her naughty bits away from our leering gaze. It was a step in the right erection…er, direction, though! While Sheila continued acting in movies like Matchstick Men (2003), Mozart and the Whale (2005) and Last Weekend (2013) she mainly worked on TV shows like The Sopranos, Lost, and Gossip Girl, where she played Carol Rhodes. Even with all that onscreen success, Sheila’s real life’s calling involved teaching women to lose their clothes and drop the pounds. Although she currently plays barista Debbie Wexler on The Good Wife, Sheila was so inspired by her work at the Blue Iguana and how fit and sensual it made her feel, she created a chain of gyms based around her “S Factor”, pole dancing techniques, before writing the book “S Factor: Strip Workouts for Every Woman.” We’re happy to see every woman adopt the same striptease techniques as Sheila, we just wish “every woman” would give us the easy access nudity she did right off the bat in Some Girls (1988).
